Chrome

Y'know how I've been posting pictures of this angel and demon pair named Azarel and Damian?
This guy is from the story they're from, except he's the main protagonist
This is Chrome. Azarel is his guardian angel, just in case you're wondering how that all relates (Damian's there because Chrome's existence is problematic. And because of Azarel).

Anyway, since Chrome has been greatly revamped since his creation I have not yet come up with his revised bio.
So I'm going to upload that later.
Anyway, for now, know that Chrome dies in the beginning of the story and is resurrected in an artificial body that consumes sins to live. He has a few more close calls with death and is largely driven in his actions by guilt and remorse for his actions in his past life and what if he is currently doing is moral or not.

The story itself sort've explores the concept of sin and religion and morality and all that crap.

Abilities: Chrome’s abilities come from the angel and demon corpses embedded in his artificial body (the crux).
While both sides allow him to summon a weapon (a sword) in order to fight, the angel side gives him the ability to cleanly extract sin from a sinner’s body and their soul.
The demon side gives him the ability to consume the sin and use it for energy. His senses are also heightened, his skin is tough and and nearly impenetrable to mortal instruments/elements. Before his death Chrome had excellent physical flexibility and strength, and was familiar with most basic forms of fighting. After his death he becomes an exceptional swordsman.

Personality: Chrome is an individual plagued by self-hatred and trust issues. He is never taught how to deal with his own vices and is never given resolution for having committed them either, and as a result he has a deep sense of self-loathing that keeps him from forming close relationships and appreciating his own accomplishments. He genuinely tries to move past his own feelings constantly, but because he does not know how he tends to get frustrated and relies on others to make him feel better, though this ends up not solving the problem and he feels as though he’s a burden. Because he does not love himself he cannot imagine anyone else doing so, so at first he rejects Azarel and later Mary when they claim affection for him. However, he is very loyal and once he feels secure in a relationship with someone he does his best to make them happy, though sometimes he tends to overcompensate as he fears being left alone. He also tends to jump to conclusions, especially when it comes to himself.
